MAGNA — Ty Witt had three hits and two RBIs as Clearfield beat Cyprus 7-1 on the road Wednesday to advance to the 6A state baseball quarterfinals.
The Falcons trailed 1-0 after one inning before scoring two in top of the second. They added three in the fifth and two more insurance runs in the seventh.
Chandler Kotter had two hits as four Clearfield players — Witt, Dougrey Humphrey, Ethan Giacalone and Tyson Walker — doubled.
Cade Parry pitched the final five innings and allowed two hits. Clearfield plays American Fork at 7 p.m. Monday at Utah Valley University.

TIMPANOGOS 10, BOUNTIFUL 3
OREM — Timpanogos scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a 3-1 game and beat Bountiful in the 5A second round.
Isaac Parry hit an RBI groundout in the sixth inning to put the Braves on the board. Josh Welling hit an RBI single and Spencer Jorgensen walked with the bases loaded in the seventh.
Stout went 2 for 4 with a run scored and Josh Welling 1 for 3 with an RBI. The Braves play Wasatch at 4 p.m. Saturday at Kearns High in the one-loss bracket.
JORDAN 18, VIEWMONT 3
BOUNTIFUL — Jordan scored six runs in the second inning and eight more in the third as the Beetdiggers handed Viewmont a lopsided loss in the 5A second round.
The Vikings drop into the one-loss bracket and will play Brighton at 7 p.m. Saturday at Kearns High.
NORTHRIDGE 13, KEARNS 5
LAYTON — Jacob Rhoades and Paul Fomby each had three hits and drove in three runs as Northridge held off Kearns in the 6A one-loss bracket to stay alive in the state tournament.
The Knights led 9-0 after three innings and pounded 16 hits. Rhoades, Fomby and Dakari Armendariz all homered for Northridge. Ryker Kap drove in two runs while Armendariz went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
Northridge plays Copper Hills at 11 a.m. Saturday at Utah Valley University in another elimination game.
WEBER 6, GRANGER 1
WEST VALLEY CITY — Mitch McKnight pitched six innings and struck out nine batters as Weber staved off elimination in the 6A state baseball playoffs one-loss bracket with a win at Granger.
The Warriors led 1-0 before scoring five runs in the top of the sixth inning. Brevin Thon had three hits, including a triple and two RBIs. Jace Campbell tripled while Cy Denney and Cade Nielsen both doubled.
Weber plays Riverton at 7 p.m. Saturday at Utah Valley University.
BRIGHTON 6, ROY 3
ROY — Brody Perkes hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game 3-3 and send it to extra innings, but Brighton scored three runs in the top of the eighth to end Roy’s season.
Jack Hulce went 3 for 3 with three doubles and one run scored. Wade Rogers pitched six innings and allowed one run for Roy, but ran into his pitch count limit and couldn’t throw in the seventh.
WASATCH 16, BOX ELDER 4
BRIGHAM CITY — Wasatch scored seven runs in the second inning and nine more in the fifth to hand second-seeded Box Elder a five-inning, run-rule loss and end the Bees’ season.
SALEM HILLS 6, BEAR RIVER 3
ST. GEORGE — Salem Hills ended Bear River’s season in the one-loss bracket of the 4A state playoffs in St. George. The Skyhawks led 5-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth inning where the Bears scored two runs.
Bear River had 10 hits. Jake Dahle pitched five innings and allowed five runs with six strikeouts in the loss. Dahle and Braxton Jeppsen both went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Carson Day hit 3 for 3.
VIEWMONT 3, WEST 2
SALT LAKE CITY — Third-seeded Viewmont scored an upset win on the road at second-seeded West in the 5A soccer first round.
James Ackley, Preston Pitt and Mason Astill each scored for the Vikings, who led 2-1 at halftime and 3-1 in the second half before holding on for the win.
Viewmont will host fourth-seeded Corner Canyon at 4 p.m. Friday in the second round.
EAST 5, BOX ELDER 2
BRIGHAM CITY — Fourth-seeded East ended Region 5-champion Box Elder’s season in the first round of the 5A state soccer playoffs.
No scoring information was provided from Box Elder.
SKYLINE 1, WOODS CROSS 0
SALT LAKE CITY — Top-seeded Skyline held serve at home with a first-half goal to end Woods Cross’ season in the 5A first round.
